Colorado native Josi Berry took a circuitous route to midwifery. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature and began work on a PhD. But while she was taking women and gender studies at the University of Texas, Josi realized she wanted to get into healthcare instead and serve the community. That brought her to Colorado where she earned an MS specializing in midwifery at CU College of Nursing. She also worked with pregnant women and their families with deliveries and postpartum journeys at the University of Colorado Hospital. Josi, an instructor at the College of Nursing, has a passion for educating women about sexual, reproductive and health goals. Josi is married with two kids and enjoys running, reading and cooking.
