My research focuses on the pathophysiology of several reproductive conditions.
The first of these is premature, natural and medically/surgically induced menopause in women and its treatment. I have been an investigator and past PI of the New Jersey site for the Study of Women's Health Across the Nation (SWAN) a multi center cohort study of the menopausal transition and beyond. I have been a co-investigator for the Women's Health Initiative Clinical Trial at both New Jersey and Albert Einstein, and am a past site PI for the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS).
I am past chair of the Steering Committee for the Reproductive Medicine Network (RMN) and member of CONFIRM Consortium for clinical trials in Reproductive Medicine. Both are multi center NIH funded clinical trials networks that perform cutting edge clinical studies in the field of reproduction and have published a number of high-impact, practice-changing manuscripts in recent years.
Last but not least, my laboratory is currently focused on the reproductive hormonal dysfunction that occurs in obesity and how it might be related to suboptimal fertility and pregnancy outcomes.
