There is a need to mentor junior clinical investigators with the research skills to improve care for persons living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) and family care partners. As a geriatrician and ADRD researcher, Dr. Hillary Lum's research activities will enhance the science of engagement involving persons living with dementia and their care partners, and her mentorship activities will focus on enhancing the pipeline of ADRD investigators who progress to independent research careers that prioritize the needs of persons living with dementia and their care partners.
