Improving the Health of Adolescents and Transition-Age Youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)

adapted activation curriculum for parents of children with intellectual and developmental
disabilities (IDD) compared to care coordination alone through a randomized controlled trial
implemented in two clinical settings in North Carolina.

Family Inclusive Childhood Obesity Treatment Designed for Low Income and Hispanic Families.
Role Description: This type 1 hybrid effectiveness-implementation trial is testing the effectiveness and simultaneously assess implementation outcomes and processes critical for potential scale-up and public health impact. We will use a prospective, wait-list control RCT to compare The Healthy Living Program (HeLP) to an active control condition: Recommended Treatment of Obesity in Primary Care (RTOP) for Hispanic pediatric populations, which is care recommended by the Academy of Pediatrics, but inconsistently delivered in usual practice.

acceptability, fidelity and reach of the implementation strategy and the impact of the ACEs
policy on child patient-level outcomes.
