This predoctoral fellowship supported research and training in the area of social and health psychology. Multiple studies were conducted to investigate motivation and self-regulation of exercise behavior. Both experimental and correlational designs were used to determine the influence of anticipated and experienced affective response to exercise on exercise motivation and behavior, and how this relationship might differ for those with and without symptoms of depression.
