Developing Clinical Decision Support Systems Adaptive to Clinicians' Fatigue (Cessation Fatigue)
Role Description: The primary objective of this study is to develop the foundation for an adaptable ED-based CDS system that is sensitive and adaptable to the user’s fatigue level. Toward this end, we will depict the effects of fatigue on ED provider clinical decision-making, characterize differences in the cognitive needs of fatigued versus non-fatigued providers, and identify CDS design and implementation characteristics to meet the needs of fatigued users.
