    Dr. Su is the Laboratory Director for Dr. Kia Washington MD. He holds scientific oversight of ongoing translational projects,=, investigating whole eye transplantation, peripheral nerve regeneration, and vascularized composite allotransplantation. Our overarching goal is to restore vision following disease, ocular trauma and ischemic or degenerative damage with clinical whole eye transplantation (WET). Our group has developed the world’s first orthotopic vascularized whole eye transplant small animal model. The next phase of research will involve a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges of whole eye transplantation.
